Taylor Arboretum March Update

Soon after the Arboretum became a member of Widener University in 2016, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) started having classes here. This February there were Zumba Gold and T’ai Chi Chih students in the Great Room. There was also a Wake Up and Walk tour of the grounds offered. Later this spring OLLI will offer “Mindfulness through Birdwatching” at the Arboretum in addition to Zumba Gold and T’ai Chi Chih.

OLLI at Widener offers programs and activities specifically designed for people over 50 for the purpose of intellectual challenge, cultural stimulation, and social interaction.

For information on OLLI offerings and membership options, visit the OLLI website at www.widener.edu/olli , contact OLLI via email at email hidden; JavaScript is required ,or phone OLLI at 610-499-4279.

Another event in March is the annual bird migration. Several accomplished birdwatchers survey the Arboretum. Follow this link for their counts.

February 2020 Update

We wish we could talk about the wonderfully-wintery-weather, but we have seen little of that this year. The Arboretum covered in snow is a beautiful sight. Charley Parker, our website designer has posted a few classic pictures from Winters past.
